About This Package
Second Trimester Prenatal OGTT Package is a mid-pregnancy screening set commonly done around 24–28 weeks to check for gestational diabetes and monitor key pregnancy health markers. The oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) measures how your body handles sugar during pregnancy and helps detect gestational diabetes early. CBC with platelet count checks for anemia and other blood changes that can develop as pregnancy progresses. Urinalysis helps screen for urinary tract infection and urine findings that may require follow-up during pregnancy. Together, these tests support safer pregnancy planning and a healthier delivery.

How OGTT (3-Point) Works
This test checks how your body handles sugar during pregnancy and helps screen for gestational diabetes. Our licensed medical technologist will visit you in the morning while fasting. First, we take a fasting blood sample (0 minute). You then drink a measured sweet glucose drink (a standard amount of sugar; 75 grams), and we take two more blood samples at 1 hour and 2 hours later to see how quickly your blood sugar rises and returns toward normal. Please stay at home and avoid food, coffee, smoking, and exercise during the test (water is allowed). Our medic will visit you after 1 and 2 hours respectively for samples collection.
