About This Test
PSA Profile measures both PSA – Total and PSA – Free and reports the free-to-total PSA ratio. This combination helps differentiate benign prostate enlargement or inflammation from higher cancer risk—a higher ratio generally suggests a benign cause, while a lower ratio may warrant further evaluation. It supports risk assessment and monitoring but is not diagnostic on its own.
