About This Test
Glucose (FBS/RBS) measures the sugar level in your blood to screen for and monitor diabetes. FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) is taken after 8–10 hours without food for a baseline reading, while RBS (Random Blood Sugar) can be checked anytime to assess current levels; results are interpreted with symptoms and, when needed, HbA1c or an oral glucose test.
