About This Test
GGT is a liver and bile‑duct enzyme. It rises in many liver and gallbladder problems and is sensitive to alcohol use. Together with ALP and bilirubin, it helps determine the cause of abnormal liver tests.

Patient Preparation
Fasting for 8 hours, refrain from from alcohol and certain medicines as instructed by your doctor.
