About This Test
Dengue NS1 detects the NS1 antigen of the dengue virus in your blood and is most useful early in illness (days 1–5), before antibodies develop. A positive result supports acute dengue infection; if symptoms persist but NS1 is negative, follow-up testing with IgM/IgG or PCR is recommended for confirmation.
